I kept thinking of how amazing it is that technology has come so far. If drones and self-tying shoes are the sort of things that came out of the last 15 years. What will we see next? In the next 15 years it is very possible that we could see fully self –driving cars, houses that clean themselves, companies that run themselves, and more!             But then I thought about the negatives. With the new technology comes consequences. The people will become lazy, and expect everything to be done for them. Jasmine Brown-Jutras Educational Technology Dr. Wu October 10, 2017 3-D Printing in the Classroom I believe that 3-D printing is a great way to include technology in the classroom. However, I also believe that for Music Educators it might be hard to come up with a ways to include 3-D printing into a lesson plan.  Most of our day is spent working with instruments or voices. How can we incorporate this into a participation based classroom? Well let's think outside of the box, here are some examples: Primary School: Use the 3-D printer to make 3-D versions of quarter notes, eight notes, and rests. The students can use these to do a hands-on lesson about rhythms. Instrumental Classroom: Use the printer to make a trumpet mouth piece or a a flute stand for one of your students to experiment with. There are ways to incorporate 3-D printing in a classroom, you just have to use your creative mind and think outside of the box.
